1:30pm-4pm               Update on Terrorism

Capt. JP Burt, Director of CIAC

(Colorado Information and Analysis Center)

The Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC) acts as an early warning system for actual or suspected terrorist acts, natural disasters, and criminal activities - it helps to prevent and mitigate further threats.

Prevention is everyone's responsibility.  Code Enforcement Officers are at peoples’ homes and places of business, oftentimes more than the police.  We need to know what we’re seeing, and who to call about it.  Captain Burt and one of his analysts who was born and raised in Kuwait will talk about what to look for, the signs of terrorist preparation, and how someone gets radicalized.
